WinningPonies is a handicapping analysis service, not a wagering platform. Users place bets through licensed ADW platforms (TwinSpires, FanDuel Racing, TVG, Xpressbet) or at track windows.

## Core Product: E-Z Win Forms

Color-coded horse racing forms that rank every horse in every race into performance tiers:

- Tier 1 (Dark Green): Top picks with the best chance of hitting the board
- Tier 2 (Light Green): Strong contenders for exotic wagers
- Tier 3 (Yellow-Green): Competitive horses for multi-leg bets
- Tier 4 (Yellow): Longer shots with upset potential
- Tier 5 (Orange): Horses facing tough competition
- Unrated (Grey): Insufficient data (first-time starters, shippers, returners)

Forms include past performances, workout data, jockey/trainer statistics, and ratings that update in real-time when track conditions change (e.g., fast to muddy, turf to dirt).

## How Ratings Work

Horstradamus analyzes dozens of factors including past performance, speed figures, class levels, workout quality, surface preferences, pedigree, and track condition adjustments.

Dirt races have two overall ratings: one based on the most recent applicable race (shown in aqua) and a composite analyzing up to four recent races (shown in purple). A "+" means the horse has reason to improve; "++" means multiple reasons to expect improvement.

Turf races add a third rating: Turf Class, which evaluates how "classy" a horse is based on previous turf results. Horses are primarily tiered by class rating on turf.

Ratings are length-based: a horse rated 55 is approximately three lengths (about 3/5 of a second) better than a horse rated 52.

Over 90 tracks including Saratoga, Churchill Downs, Gulfstream Park, Santa Anita, Del Mar, Keeneland, Belmont Park, Aqueduct, Oaklawn Park, Fair Grounds, Woodbine, and many more. Thoroughbred and quarter horse racing only (not harness racing).
