ANCIENT HOLIDAY chased on the inside down the backstretch, angled out entering the second turn to be three deep, came into the stretch three wide, rallied and drew out in the final furlong. SUITABLE ATTIRE moved up between horses entering the backstretch, continued to stalk the pace between foes into the lane, swung out for the drive and gained the place in the late stages. GOOD FRIDAY GAL sped to the lead in the run to the first turn, led the way to the lane, had the rider lose the whip leaving the furlong marker, weakened in the final furlong but was able to hold the show. SOUTHERN STRIKE was four wide into the first turn, chased off the rail down the backstretch, was between foes entering the stretch and weakened in the final furlong. LONG LEGGED LOVELY chased on the inside down the backstretch and around the second turn, came out for room in midstretch and was unable to mount the necessary rally when asked in the lane. TOL MY ANGEL SOUL pressed the pace on the outside down the backstretch, appeared to take an awkward step leaving the half mile pole, was eased on the second turn, broke down in midstretch and lost the rider.

SASSOU sped to the early lead, set all the pace a bit off the rail, drifted in then out a bit in the stretch and held on gamely under urging. STONESIDE (IRE) chased three deep then outside a rival leaving the hill, came out four wide into the stretch, drifted in some but finished well. A LIL DUMAANI stalked a bit off the rail then inside, came out some in upper stretch, lugged in slightly in midstretch, bid along the rail in deep stretch and held third. TRUMPET PLAYER JAY saved ground chasing the pace, came out a bit leaving the hill then angled in again and was outfinished. DAPPER GENE dropped back off the rail early, angled in some on the hill, came out nearing midstretch and found his best stride late. BRENTHURST bobbled slightly at the start, chased between foes, steadied in a bit tight behind the runner-up on the hill, continued a bit off the rail, came out some into the stretch and lacked the needed rally. BELONGS TO GOTHAM stalked between horses then a bit off the rail on the hill and into the stretch and could not offer the necessary response. GENERALITO NAIN (ARG) broke in and steadied some, chased between horses then off the rail, came out into the stretch and did not rally. CAUGHT A FLYER stalked off the rail then outside a rival, came out into the stretch and weakened, then was not persevered with late. Rail on hill at 14 feet.

ROYAL IMPORT (GB) sped to the early lead, inched away and set the pace inside, fought back into and on the second turn and until just past midstretch, then could not match the winner and just held the place. ATTICUS POMPONIUS chased inside, came out into the second turn, angled three deep into the stretch and just missed second. GOBBLER'S KNOB chased between horses then a bit off the rail, angled in on the second turn and weakened. PURE GREEN three deep on the first turn, chased outside a rival, came under a ride leaving the backstretch, dropped back off the rail on the second turn, drifted out into the stretch and gave way.

TRUE WAY OF GRACE angled in and settled off the pace inside, came out in upper stretch then angled back in and lacked the needed late kick. SCANTILY CLAD (IRE) also angled in early and saved ground stalking the pace, loomed a threat inside in midstretch but could not offer the necessary late kick. DARLING CIANA stalked the pace outside a rival, came three deep into the stretch and weakened.

R CLEVER CAT broke inward and a bit slowly, was sent along to stalk the pace inside, split horses in midstretch, continued along the rail and lacked the needed late kick. HEY MARIA chased inside, split horses on the turn, continued between rivals in the drive and did not rally. SO TEMPTED three deep early, chased outside a rival then three wide on the turn and into the stretch and could not offer the necessary response. MAGICALLYTOWN had good early speed and angled in, dueled inside, fought back on the turn but weakened in the stretch.

TORO BONITO a bit slow into stride, raced unhurried along the inside to the stretch and lacked a rally. SEPARATE FOREST dueled between horses then four wide, stalked off the rail then between foes leaving the turn and weakened. RED WHITE AND BREW had good early speed and dueled between rivals then three deep, dropped back leaving the turn and had little left for the stretch.
