JUST A GRAZE showed the way along the inside early, took pressure from DANZING WILD CAT on the backstretch, dueled with that rival around the far turn and into the lane, shook free from that rival past the eighth pole and held safely over the closing runner-up. BENNY'S PUZZLE bumped leaving the gate, trailed on the inside into the first turn, raced inside rivals in the middle stages, crept closer while easing off the fence on the far turn, tipped out into the lane, put in a late run but ran out of ground. DANZING WILD CAT raced up close in the two path, applied pressure from outside on the backstretch, hounded the winner to the eighth pole, then flattened in the final furlong but managed to save third. HIGH KING stalked from inside through both turns, roused at the quarter pole, asked left handed at the top of the lane and missed third. NINETEENTH HOLE bumped inner rival in the beginning, stalked outside a runner in the two path, driven two wide into the lane and failed to respond. THROWIN HEAT hit the gate and broke in, pulled along the inside early then in the two path on the clubhouse turn, chased between on the backstretch, rounded the far turn in the three path, got floated out a bit into the lane and weakened. DESERT HAWK traveled in the three path outside a rival on the first turn, three deep into the backstretch, trailed four wide leaving the backstretch, angled down to the rail and was never a factor.

CRUISIN FOR CALI raced up close outside the top pair, took aim three to four wide turning for home, drew alongside the leaders in midstretch, took over with a sixteenth remaining and won going away. MONTANA JET prompted the pace from outside, fought even terms midway around the turn, put a head in front in upper stretch, offered little resistance to the winner in deep stretch and stayed on to secure second. SHARONS ANGELS tracked between rivals early, fell out of range in the two path then found the rail at the quarter pole, kept trying down the lane and got up for the show honors. DUTTON'S SONG set the pace with MONTANA JET alongside, headed by that rival outside the five-sixteenths pole, lost command in upper stretch, fought back while drifting out to the sixteenth pole, then flattened late. BUCKS ACTION chased three deep in the early going, moved out to the four path quickly on the turn, spun five wide into the lane and weakened. RICH NIGHT chased from inside to the turn, dropped back around the bend, came off the rail at the quarter pole, eased through the lane and walked off.

O K ROSE stalked two wide into the turn, crept closer around the bend, tipped three wide entering the lane, headed GOODNIGHT NELLIE at the sixteenth pole and drove clear. GOODNIGHT NELLIE broke well, chased for a bit then pressed from outside, took over at the quarter pole, moved clear briefly in upper stretch, challenged by O K ROSE shortly after and yielded to that rival late. ORANGE THUNDER jumped the edge of the dirt crossing back onto turn, raced off the pace, advanced inside on the turn, steered out at the top of the lane and ran on for third. MENDELSSOHNS ANGEL chased from off the pace and moved into the two path, ridden along on the turn but flattened out in the lane. SPOTTED HAZE sprinted clear and crossed over, took pressure up the backstretch, dueled around the turn and lost command with a quarter mile remaining, yielded to the new leader in upper stretch and weakened. LAMPORGHINI gave chase from inside, ridden along around the bend, cut the corner into the lane and weakened. BESSIE COLEMAN chased between for a bit then went up to press three deep, could not keep up with the top pair and chased again while three then four wide on the turn and weakened down the lane. APPLE PIE threw her head leaving the gate, trailed up the backstretch, went four wide into the turn, quickly moved to the three path, angled out into the lane and passed tired rivals. SYNTAX followed in range outside rivals in the early going, rounded the bend four then three wide and faded in the lane. FIBONACCIS RIDE settled off the pace and stayed well off the rail, also rounded the bend four then three wide and could not rally. HONEY BUCKET chased between then checked behind a rival early, went three wide into the turn, angled down to the inside and tired.

UNCLE EVCO raced up close in the two path then a bit off the rail on the first turn, bid three deep past the half-mile pole, put ahead in front near the quarter pole, put inner pair away in upper stretch and remained unchallenged under some right handed urging. ALOHA CHROME chased from off the pace in the three path, gained while staying off the fence around the far turn, kept on down the lane to best the rest but could not threaten the winner. ONE HAPPY DUDE raced up close three deep into the first turn then applied pressure to the leader around the bend, vied between rivals into and around the far turn, yielded to UNCLE EVCO at the three-sixteenths marker and flattened to third. MACHO MAN chased from inside, came under a ride on the far turn and tipped to the three path, then weakened in the drive. IRISH ELEMENT trailed four then three wide early, remained wide around the second bend, came five wide into the stretch and failed to make an impact. GENTLEMAN RANCHER took control early and steered to the inside, got pressured by ONE HAPPY DUDE in the early going, vied with outer pair into and around the far turn, lost command at the quarter pole and weakened in the lane.

GREY'S BOY followed in range from off the rail, angled in for the turn, tipped back out and came three wide into the stretch, collared the leader outside the sixteenth pole and drove clear. IRISH REBEL settled inside, hugged the rail to the stretch, finished well next to the fence, then tipped out late and got by RUNNING SPARTAN for second. RUNNING SPARTAN sprinted clear and moved inward, remained untested to the eighth pole, got run down by the winner with a sixteenth remaining, flattened out late and lost second. MAXIMON raced up close then had to take up when crowded early, dropped to mid-pack and traveled outside a rival, moved out in the lane and kept on to earn a minor award. BROHEIM was closest in pursuit through the early going, rounded the bend in the two path then moved inside approaching the stretch, came back out in the lane and flattened. SAND BAGGER lost his path and checked early, got boxed in along the rail on the turn, shifted out into the clear in upper stretch, closed into the final sixteenth but ran up behind rivals and had to put the brakes on, costing him all late momentum. IMA TRACK STAR laid off the pace and moved inside, saved ground around the bend and failed to menace. MISSILE CRUISER raced outside a rival near the back, traveled three wide or three deep on the turn and was never a factor. SILVER ICE chased from off the pace outside a rival, remained two wide to the stretch and could not make an impact. R DANNY BOY was off slow to begin, trailed on the inside and was never a factor.

THE BIG CHEESEOLA brushed leaving the gate, was closest in pursuit to the outside of the leader early, bid two then three wide late on the bend, cleared inner rival in upper stretch, remained clear into the last sixteenth, came under threat from a pair of rivals late but was able to hold. ALPINE THUNDER broke a step slow, got shuffled behind GENUINE GRACE early and altered out, went three wide into the turn, exited the bend in the five path, tipped out further at the top of the stretch, closed in and drew alongside the winner late but ran out of time. LAMPY tracked outside rivals up the backstretch, asked three, four, then five wide around the bend, finished well in tandem with ALPINE THUNDER and got edged by that rival for second. SMARTY NOSE chased from off the pace four wide into the turn, moved to the five path for a bit then shifted back to the four path, drifted in and bumped a rival midstretch and offered a mild response to round out the superfecta. BARSABAS broke well then dropped back between rivals, raced along the rail then two wide turning for home, drifted out and bumped midstretch and failed to threaten. RASSLER broke out and bumped, sent after and took control early, showed the way from inside around the bend, yielded in upper stretch and weakened. DETAILS MATTER broke a step slow, pursued in range up the backstretch, went two wide into the turn, exited the bend in the four path and faded. GOLDEN RIVER chased from inside out of range, hugged the rail to the stretch and lacked the needed response. REEF CITY trailed on the inside, moved out in upper stretch and was never a factor. BET THE OM got bumped on both sides leaving the gate, chased between then off the pace, rounded the bend two wide, moved inward in the lane and came up empty.

RUN WITH LIBERTY unhurried in the beginning and angled to the two path outside a rival, picked up stride while angling four wide around the far turn, challenged five deep in upper stretch, was raging with run in the last sixteenth and won going away. MAGGLES MCGEE stalked from inside, waited through the far turn still next to the fence, launched a rail bid turning for home, fought inside outer quartet into the final furlong and got outkicked by the winner. HUMIDITY pulled along the inside and had to take up behind a rival early, tracked along the rail into the far turn, steered out with a quarter mile remaining, looked to make a run but lacked room behind rivals and had to steady in upper stretch, then kept on to earn the show honors. TATE BATZ pursued the lone leader in the two path, challenged between runners entering the lane, fought three deep in upper stretch, then weakened in the final furlong but was able to earn a minor award. BABY NEEDS SHOES slipped leaving the gate but was able to recover quickly, stalked outside a pair of rivals around the first turn, crept closer on the backstretch, asked in the three path on the far turn, challenged three deep exiting the bend, vied four deep between in upper stretch and also weakened. ALIX controlled the pace from inside, challenged by a pair of rivals turning for home, came off the rail at the top of the stretch, yielded outside the eighth pole and gave way. CAMMY'S GIRL stalked between foes on the clubhouse turn, outside a rival on the backstretch, lost ground still in the two path on the second bend, moved out in the lane and weakened. GENUINE GRACE saved ground from off the pace and failed to menace. LADY RUTH trailed off the rail into the first turn then tucked inside, stayed on the fence through the far turn and was never a factor.
