PINKY BRIER broke awkwardly and was off a step slow, moved up to establish a good position on the inside, chased along the rail on the turn, was put to the crop approaching the quarter-pole, came out into upper stretch then moved further out, bumped with PURPLE DEVINE just inside the eighth-pole, was carried in by that foe and bumped several more times in the final furlong and just missed fourth position.
