SANTIANA went to the front then showed the way, moved clear with a half-mile to run, rounded the turn in the two path, was asked for her best in upper stretch, lost the advantage to the winner outside the furlong marker and weakened. MARAJOLINE showed speed then pressed the pace, dropped back near the half-mile pole, saved ground on the turn and came up empty. GREAT ACTRESS was urged along on the outside, went around the turn in the four path and lacked the needed response. MEDIUM COOL was bumped at the start and forced out, went around the turn in the three then four path and failed to threaten. CATHOLIC VICE was urged along near the rear, brushed with a foe around the five-eighths pole, went around most of the turn in the two path then moved to the three path and was no factor. SUGAR PRINCESS was urged off the pace, brushed with a rival near the five-eighths pole, went around the turn in the three path and failed to respond.

OHIO JOE broke out at the start bumping EXECUTIVE ORDER, chased three wide coming under urging at the five-sixteenths, went seven wide into upper stretch and kicked on belatedly to the wire. BRIT'S WIT chased just off the inside coming under a ride from the five-sixteenths, spun three wide into upper stretch, offered up late foot. BOSUN chased just off the inside and then along the inside under encouragement from the five-sixteenths, took the inside route into upper stretch, weakened. ROCKETEER three then two wide in pursuit, got coaxed along at the five-sixteenths, spun two to three wide into upper stretch, weakened in the drive. SNOOKIE BEAR saved ground near the rear of the field, got ridden along with five-sixteenths to go, went six to seven wide at the head of the stretch, made no impact. EXECUTIVE ORDER got bumped at the start by OHIO JOE, who broke outwards, raced three wide through the first turn, chased three wide patiently handled until set down spinning four wide into upper stretch, then weakened through to the finish. TIGER TWENTY FOUR chased three then two wide coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, swung four to five wide into upper stretch, made no impact.
