LONG BLACK VEIL saved ground setting the early pace, came two-wide into the stretch and maintained a safe advantage. DR. BELLA was unhurried early along the inside, slipped through nearing the stretch, angled out to be three-wide nearing the eighth pole and finished strongly. ECONOMIC HANGOVER was forwardly placed racing three-wide, came five-wide into the stretch and finished in a mild rally. CONTRABANDISTA was forwardly placed racing two-wide, came three-wide into the stretch and lacked a rally. MR. PETERKIN was unhurried early, came four-wide into the stretch but failed to seriously threaten. CRAFTED was rank to place early then raced in the back of the field, rallied five-wide into the stretch but failed to be a factor.

SECRET FLAME was two-wide racing in the middle of the field and went evenly late. JESSE JANE was allowed to settle racing along the inside but was unable to seriously threaten.
