ANNALINE set the pace, responded when challenged on the turn, dueled through the stretch and yielded late to finish second best. BL FORTY raced mid pack, angled out for the drive, closed steadily and was gaining late. TAKE CHARGE LILAH flashed speed between horses, was taken back and checked into the turn to trail, went widest in the drive and lacked a bid. MITOLE PRINCESS broke slowly, saved ground to the stretch and lacked a closing response. MEREDITH veered out at the start, was never far back, raced outside and gave way on the turn.

CHROMED IMPULSE got away well, raced close to the pace towards the outside, went six wide leaving the turn, closed steadily and drew clear late. SAINT CHARLES broke slowly, dropped inside, closed along the rail, got a head in front past the eighth pole, was outclosed and all out for place. PAT'S PADDOCK PICK vied three across early, dropped back to stalk the pace, went five wide entering the stretch, bid willingly to contend and just missed for second. SPEIGHTY WAR trailed the field, angled out in the upper stretch, finished well and gained late. PHILO BEDDOE vied to the turn, dropped back entering the stretch, continued willingly and leveled off in the drive. LUCKY SMILE vied inside, drew clear entering the stretch, led past the eighth pole and faltered.

SURLY FURIOUS was never far off the pace, went six wide entering the stretch, closed steadily and wore down STREET WARRIOR to get up in the final strides. STREET WARRIOR settled off the pace, rallied on the turn, assumed command, drew off for a clear lead, led to the final strides and was outfinished in a good effort. OUTOFTHEDARK lagged early while racing towards the outside, shifted in and advanced inside on the turn, offered a mild bid and got up for show while no threat to the top two. LORD SHELDON was never far back, advanced on the turn, angled out for the drive, offered a mild bid only and was outfinished for third. PLANE TALK set the pace to the turn, dropped back and had no further response. MR. WHO showed speed to the turn, stopped and was not urged through the stretch.

GRACE DARLING (IRE) stalked the pace while racing in hand, bid four wide to get within range and lacked the needed late response. UP ON THE EDGE was unhurried early, saved ground, bid along the rail leaving the turn and failed to rally. SHY SHY raced close to the pace, went six wide leaving the turn and offered a mild bid only. TWO PRACTICAL showed speed to the second turn, dropped back and leveled off.

ARMA D'ORO stalked the pace, raced between horses early, bid off the rail, was within range and came up empty. CAPTURE THE TIME set the pace while racing well off the rail, was headed into the turn, had nothing left for the drive and faded through the stretch. SIR STERLING hit the gate and was off slowly, trailed the field, had a clear path along the rail in the drive and had no response. TENTH STREET DON was outrun in an even effort.

BABY DOLL PEACH swung wide on the first turn, assumed command and drew off into the backstretch, set the pace with a clear lead, responded when challenged to duel and came up empty late. WHERE'S MARILYN was rated back early, saved ground and lacked a bid. MIGHTY MADI raced evenly and was not a factor.

GLENDALE saved ground, lacked room on the second turn, bid off the rail when clear and closed to get up for show. MY CALANTE stalked the pace, rallied on the turn to threaten, bid and came up empty late. ITS A BOY was unhurried early, went widest in the drive and lacked the needed late response. HEAT N REHEAT raced close to the pace along the inside, rallied on the turn to loom a threat, had little left for the drive and dropped back. EL JOY showed speed to the second turn and flattened out. WAR CHEST trailed the field.
