ERIC'S KITTEN outrun after hitting the gate at the start, saved ground while rallying, then steadied while working his way through traffic in the stretch and flattened out. STRATEGIC HOPE stalked the pace, eased out leaving the far turn, then bumped hard with STAR ZAPPER while splitting rivals in early stretch to reach near even terms for command, then tired in the final eighth. RIO BONITA reserved early, saved ground while advancing around the far turn, then clipped heels when trapped in behind the leaders at the top of the stretch and failed to recover. BRECON chased the pace, made a run to reach even terms for command at the quarter pole, vied for the lead to past the eighth pole, then faltered. HERECOMESTHE STORM raced three wide and failed to menace. DUTCH CAY was not a factor. I'M A PLAYBOY set the pace along the rail into the stretch, then faded.

DOCTOR PEACH quickly moved to the fore while angling over to the rail, made the pace into the stretch, then was fully extended to prevail. LAST EMPIRE allowed to settle, swung out for the stretch run and improved his position without threatening. BARRA D'ORO tracked the leaders into the stretch and lacked a late response. GREEN LITE SPECIAL raced four wide and failed to menace. THE COGNAC KID rated off the pace, made a run four wide around the far turn to reach contention, then faltered in the drive. STEVE'S STAR raced three wide and was through after six furlongs. AE PIT was outrun. ROMANS REWARD chased the pace to midway of the far turn, then faded.

GAZILLION KISSES rated off the pace, raced three wide around the turn, rallied to engage MISS SMARTY PANTS inside the eighth pole, then dueled with and just edged that rival to the wire. MISS SMARTY PANTS chased the pace, moved to take over on the turn, responded when challenged by GAZILLION KISSES, then dueled with that rival to the wire and just missed. LA RUMBA chased the leaders off the rail into the stretch and gave way. ROCKET SHOES unhurried early, passed tired rivals in the drive. ECCENTRIC LIFE rated off the pace, had no response when asked. SKY GODDESS off slowly, failed to menace. JILL'S DANCER saved ground to no avail. FOUR ELEVEN was outrun. MEDIA STARLETT showed early foot along the rail and tired. SWEETLY VALID raced four wide and faltered. BECAUSEI'MWORTHIT showed speed while angling over to the inside, made the pace to midway of the turn, then faded.

IT'S ME MOM showed speed off the rail to nearing the quarter pole, then tired. QUANTUM MISS stumbled and bumped ROXY GAP at the start, chased the pace four wide, made a run to reach the leaders at the quarter pole, then faltered in the drive. MIS VIZCAYA well placed along the rail into the turn, faded.

DERBY KITTEN rated off the pace, rallied to take over at the top of the stretch, was opening a clear lead when he swerved in at the eighth pole, then was fully extended to last over SANDYS DIAMOND. The latter, outrun after breaking poorly, raced four wide around the far turn and closed well for the place. WINTER'S FURY allowed to settle after breaking slowly, rallied to loom a threat in midstretch and flattened out. NOAH'S HARVEST reserved racing along the rail, advanced into contention around the far turn but had no late response. TOP BUSINESS failed to menace. VAPOR TRACE unhurried early, improved his position without threatening. CLASSICAL CHANT chased the pace, moved to take over on the far turn, made the pace to the top of the stretch, then was tiring when checked in behind DERBY KITTEN at the eighth pole. WITTY KID taken in hand early, steadied in traffic on the far turn and was not a factor. COOKS FOREST outrun early, was saving ground when checked to avoid running up on SHOW TIME leaving the far turn and failed to recover. WONWAY STREET off slowly, raced three wide and faltered. HONDO SCORES quickly sprinted to a clear lead along the rail, made the pace into the far turn, then had nothing left. SHOW TIME chased the pace, then was fading when steadied on the far turn. There was a stewards inquiry into the incident at the eighth pole. No action was taken.
