Tuesday Steamers

I love playing on Tuesday. I don't know why exactly, but what better time to build your bankroll for the weekend... Now, here is the best news. WinningPonies.com is going to lay out a couple on the house! These are sweet plays that could be taken advantage of; to start thinking about the Florida Derby a few days early.

Let us converge on Tampa Bay. We love to play this oval, as it offers nice field sizes and solid payoffs. Race #9 looks to be a solid affair. We have a top tier selection named Tiganello. He has the "should improve banner" and the drop down arrow which notes facing a lesser class of runners.

He breaks from the #2 hole, and the inside has done well on all surfaces. This is carded for one mile on the green, and this 8-year-old gelding sports a 14.1 turf rating (which is worth a good look). His last race rating is 68+ which is decent, but the selling point is the "+" symbol meaning that he is edging to improve. The last three races he has run earned a 65 speed rating, and both of these ratings are consistent with a runner who is showing good form and class.

Carlos Cruz is in the irons for red-hot trainer Jamie Ness. Ness is batting a sweet 31% in the winners circle, and that can grow after this affair if the wagering gods are smiling.

We then travel to Philly Park for race #8. In this affair, there is a runner by the name of Dixieland Knock0ut. Number 1A in the program could easily be number one in your heart with a rock solid trip.

Jeremy Rose is the reins man, and Kathleen Demasi is the trainer. Both are handy and have good numbers. His is 19% winning, and she is 11%. Rose is a good rider and can find the best in a horse anywhere.

She sports the dropping in class banner, and goes from allowance company to conditioned 25k two wins in a lifetime. This is a drop like a free-fall. This top tier selection is sitting on go. Teamed up with a closer, this speedy gal can get loose and play catch me if you can. She owns a 54 rating, and in this field, that should be enough.

So, there you go.. Food for thought. You'll need to pull down the entire cards to build around for Pick-3's and Pick-4's to make this a sweet hit. They look good today, and hopefully they will make your day this much better.

Happy Tuesday!
