Belmont Park Picks, Results & Big 'Uns

Belmont Park in Elmont, New York, reopened on September 18, 2026, after a three-year rebuild, and is now the year-round home of downstate New York racing. While construction was under way, Belmont's meets ran at Aqueduct as "Belmont at the Big A" and the Belmont Stakes moved to Saratoga. Aqueduct held its final live race day on June 28, 2026.

The new Belmont has four racing surfaces: a 1½-mile dirt main track, two turf courses, and a one-mile Tapeta synthetic track, so form from the old Belmont may not carry over. The Belmont Stakes returns here in 2027, and the track hosts the Breeders' Cup on October 29 and 30, 2027.

Belmont Park ran 19 racing days in the past year on dirt, turf, and synthetic. Fields averaged 8.6 starters and races ranged from 6f to 1 1/2m. Claiming races here have averaged a $47,613 tag recently. WinningPonies' picks produced 42 Big 'Un payouts at Belmont Park in the past year totaling $9,171, the largest a $2,748 Pick 4 on September 24, 2026. The Superfecta has been the most common winning Big 'Un wager.
