Ellis Park Picks, Results & Big 'Uns

Ellis Park in Henderson, Kentucky, opened in 1922 as Dade Park and was renamed in 1954 for longtime owner James C. Ellis. It is the rare Kentucky track that sits north of the Ohio River: the state line follows the river's course as it ran in 1792, not where it runs today.

Ellis runs a short summer meet from early July through late August, on a dirt main track and a turf course, and is owned by Churchill Downs Inc.

Ellis Park ran 25 racing days in the past year on dirt and turf. Fields averaged 8.3 starters and races ranged from 5 1/2f to 1 1/4m. Claiming races here have averaged a $35,902 tag recently. WinningPonies' picks produced 103 Big 'Un payouts at Ellis Park in the past year totaling $75,159, the largest a $24,202 Pick 5 on July 25, 2026. The Super High Five has been the most common winning Big 'Un wager.
