MY DEVINE ONE was urged along on the outside at the rear, angled in near the nine-sixteenths pole, dropped from the two path to the inside early on the turn, saved ground into the stretch and failed to respond.

FROSTELLE chased along the inside and then just off the inside coming under urging near the quarter pole, took the inside route into upper stretch, ran on to the wire. MARBLE HALL broke out a step at the start, chased four then three paths off the inside down the backstretch before tucking to the two path through the turn, spun three wide into upper stretch and weakened in the late stages. POP GOES THE WIZ broke out a step at the break, chased four then three wide under a ride with seven-sixteenths to go, angled five to six wide into upper stretch, weakened. CRUDE INTENTIONS chased along the inside under encouragement from three furlongs out, angled three to four wide at the top of the stretch, faltered in the drive.

PILOT KNOB broke a bit awkwardly but with the field, dropped back under urging on the outside, moved from the five path to the four path early on the turn, spun into the stretch in the five path and was no factor. CALVARY HILL was urged along off the pace, tossed his head and lost position leaving the backstretch, saved ground on the turn, moved to the two path outside the quarter-pole and failed to respond.

AWESOME NATIVE chased four to five paths off the inside down the backstretch, tucked to the two path half a mile from home before making his way to the inside through the turn coming under coaxing at the three-eighths marker, angled out seven to eight wide into upper stretch, proved no match for the top one while running on to secure the place honors clear of the rest. SOZE a bit fractious in the gate prior to the start, got bumped at the break by the breaking outwards RANGER BATTALION, chased inside briefly before tipping out to the three path, chased three then two wide coming under urging midway on the turn, angled five wide into upper stretch, came under a left handed crop near the three-sixteenths and shied out three paths, got corrected and kept on to the finish to be along for the show honors. RANGER BATTALION broke out at the start bumping SOZE, chased inside briefly before tipping to the two path, came under coaxing three furlongs from home, tipped out three wide into upper stretch and weakened. GARAMOND four then three wide in pursuit, got pushed along with five-sixteenths to go, went seven wide into upper stretch and tired.

J J'S RANGER broke out and jostled with a foe, was hustled to the front, dropped from the three path to the two path on the first turn, showed the way with a clear advantage, was given his cue in the two path on the far turn, spun into the stretch in the three path then was headed by the winner, dropped back into the final furlong and weakened but was well clear for the show. CURVINO angled in at the rear of the field, saved ground on the first turn, was urged along at the back, drifted out late on the backstretch, went around the far turn in the three then four path and failed to threaten. SENEGAL became fractious in the gate after his neighbor to the inside broke through the front, settled in the two path, was urged along passing the five-eighths pole, dropped back while ridden along in the two path on the far turn and failed to respond. AWESOME EMPIRE broke through the front of the gate prior to the start but remained in the stall, was rated on the inside, continued to save ground while urged along on the far turn and capitulated.
