KOZY NIGHT opted to apply heavy pressure to the early pace setter, took charge at the top of the lane, held firmly under steady encouragement. BE KOZY settled back to trail shortly after the start, rounded the turn in the four path and showed a mild rally for the place award. NATIONAL DIAMOND emerged from the start as the early pace setter, led under pressure from KOZY NIGHT through the turn, gave way at the top of the stretch and flattened out into third. FEELING EASY was the last out of the gate, advanced along the inside, weakened in the stretch.

SECRET CALLER settled back to be the early trailer, loomed four wide through the turn to contest the lead at the three sixteenths, drew clear in the final sixteenth under sustained urging. BLUE TAIL FLY stalked the early pace setter three wide, overtook the early pace setter alongside BEACHGLASS midway through the turn, claimed a brief lead at the top of the stretch before being challenged by SECRET CALLER, battled with that foe until giving way in the final sixteenth. BEACHGLASS chased the early pace from the two path, overtook the early leader alongside BLUE TAIL FLY midway through the turn for a moment on the front end but began to fade shortly after entering the stretch. HOLIDAY MUSICAL showed good early speed, met a couple bids midway through the turn and conceded to them, weakened down the stretch.

KISS ME QUICK broke a beat slow, chased the pace just a couple lengths back, launched a four wide bid in the final furlong to pick off the remaining rivals just in time. DANZANITEAWAY pressed the pace three wide, fought hard in the final stages for a very gamely finish. GOOSEBUMPS was off alertly but opted to stalk the pace shortly after the start, took charge once more at the three eighths marker, grudgingly gave way to outer foes in the final yards for a very gamely finish. WORK'N ON A BUZZ claimed a narrow lead between runners shortly after the start, gave way to GOOSEBUMPS at the three eighths and continued to press the pace through the turn, flattened out in the stretch.
