LADY LUX was brushed by an inner foe at the start, stalked from the three path into the turn, bid outside of the leader at the three furlong pole, vied before forging an advantage in upper stretch, but got collared by an outer bidder in midstretch, dug in while pulling away from the rest but was second best. LUCKY LOLLIPOP bumped an inner foe at the start, settled in the two path, moved out to the five path in upper stretch, ran on to split rivals along with an inner foe at the sixteenth pole, dueled for show with that one late and prevailed. SPUN TIGHT was bumped by an outer foe at the start, dropped back and trailed into the turn, ran on to split foes in the four path at the sixteenth pole, battled for show with an outer rival late but missed. BY GRACE showed the way in the two path, got collared by an outer bidder at the three furlong pole, was headed by that one entering upper stretch and weakened. BAYTOWN ONA brushed an outer rival at the start, chased briefly before faltering in the three path approaching the turn, fanned to the six path into the lane and continued to weaken. HONKY TONK GIRL transferred light contact from an inner foe to an outer rival leaving the gate, tracked in the four path into the turn, range up outside of the leaders turning for home, but got floated to the five path entering the lane and weakened.

GLOBAL SENSATION set the pace as an outer rival prompted into the turn, disposed of that one as a wider DERBY DATE took aim turning for home, shook free in upper stretch and drove clear. DERBY DATE broke outwardly and bumped a foe at the start, was brushed by an outer foe early on, stalked the top pair from the three path, ranged up to take aim turning for home, but was repelled in upper stretch then kept on to prove second best. RAISING KANE pursued from midpack in the four to five path into the lane, dueled for show with an inner rival through midstretch, edged that position in the final sixteenth then lasted from an inner bidder at the wire. NIP N TUCK tracked along the inside, shifted to the three path into the lane, ran on to offer an inside bid for show in the closing stages but missed at the wire. READY TO POUNCE brushed with an inner foe at the start, got floated and brushed with a different inner rival early on, pursued from midpack in the two to three path and between horses, tipped to the four path entering the lane, stayed on to duel for show with an outer rival through midstretch but yielded between horses late. CREEK brushed with an outer rival before being bumped between rivals at the start, raced off of the pace in the five to three path into the turn, chased in the five to four path in upper stretch and failed to menace. BE HERE trailed in the three path, swung out to the six path into the lane and failed to factor. READY TO ROLL was bumped by an inner foe into an outer foe at the start, then got pinched back between horses early on, raced off of the pace in the two path, retreated to trail into the lane, shifted out and got outrun. MARTINI BLU pressed outside of the eventual winner into the turn but weakened with five sixteenths to go.
