TIMEFORMARGARITAS prompted the pace from two wide to the top of the stretch before weakening and was outfinished. WICKED CUSTOMS rushed up the rail to be in contention but tired. AWESOME WILLIAM stalked the pace from the inside to midway through the turn but lacked room near the three sixteenth pole but made a late rail bid and was outfinished. YAKETY YAK was allowed to settle around the first turn then steadily advanced from four wide through the final turn and passed tired ones. LIVE AFFAIR was forwardly placed from two wide to the top of the stretch and weakened. BUTCHY BOY raced in the middle of the pack from three wide but was not a threat. SPIELMAN saved ground around the first turn then moved up from two wide down the backstretch but had to steady near the five sixteenths pole and dropped back. M L BRODY'S GEM raced within striking distance to the quarter pole before giving way.

BARBACOA was forwardly placed down the backstretch then slipped through going into the final turn to make a late run at the leader but was too late but was a clear second. BASILE broke sharply and prompted the pace from two wide to the three furlong marker before tiring. CRAWFISH BURL raced in the middle of the pack from five wide to the first turn, moved up from four wide to track the leaders to the final turn and gave way.
