GUS SWAYZE got in tight quarters around the first turn just behind the pace, took aim at the two path in the far turn to split foes and challenge the lead, dueled with GRAN CAMPANERO down the stretch and dug in for the win. GRAN CAMPANERO broke sharply to assume a ground saving lead, led under pressure from SURFER'S JOY, shook off that one rounding the far turn before meeting a bit from GUS SWAYZE in the upper stretch, locked in battle down the stretch but was bested. SURFER'S JOY saved ground to apply pressure to the early pace setter three wide, allowed passage for GUS SWAYZE rounding the far turn, chased the dueling leaders down the stretch, just held for the show award. RUDI was rated along the inside, showed a mild rally under right handed urging but just missed out on the show honors. BE WISER BOB moved up to track the pace four wide, flattened out in the stretch. HOTTER THAN DEM hopped and bumped into outer foe at the start, trailed for the first half, began advancing along the outside to track the pace through the far turn, weakened in the stretch. RODHAN ran between runners a couple lengths back, backed off the pace in the far turn, showed little in the stretch. GONDORFF bumped by inner foe at the start, raced off the pace in the two path, trailed after half, pulled up in the upper stretch and walked off.

LUCKY BERRY settled off the pace and saved ground through the first turn, slowly advanced three wide up the backstretch, roused at the three eighths to circle the field and enter the stretch dueling with TURKISH FLAME, dug in for a narrow victory. TURKISH FLAME settled off the pace around the two path, cued three wide through the far turn to take charge just after the quarter, met a bid from LUCKY BERRY to duel down the stretch, finished gamely. MISCHIEVOUS SCOUT broke the gate prior to the start, vied for command in the early stages with SHE'S TRIPPIN until opting to shadow the pace midway through the first turn, shifted out four wide rounding the far turn and chased the dueling leaders down the stretch. SODA settled off the pace along the inside, began asking in the far turn to close in on the pace, had no room in the upper stretch and tipped out to the three path at the eighth to pass a couple foes. LILLESAND was off a step slow, trailed for most, shifted out three wide in the stretch and found best stride late to pick off a couple foes. SCARLETT'S LAW stalked the pace from the two path, faded down the stretch. SHE'S TRIPPIN vied for with MISCHEVIOUS SCOUT in the early stages, claimed sole command midway through the first turn, dictated terms until giving way at the top of the stretch, retreated then on.

OASIS PRINCE was bumped by outer foe at the start, overtook the swift starter at the five eighths, lengthened advantage through the far turn under a loose rein, geared down while clear of the rest in the stretch, much the best. FLAG OFFICER chased the pace, battled with two others down the stretch for the minor awards, no match for the winner. SONG SO SWEET settled off the pace, shifted out four wide and brushed into DIME PAPI at the five eighths, changed lanes back in through the far turn until tipping back out four wide entering the stretch, got up for show while staying on the inside lead. DIME PAPI bumped inner foe at the start, brushed out five wide by SONG SO SWEET at the five eighths, gained position three wide through the far turn, weakened in the final furlong. FIGHTING WORDS broke swiftly, conceded command to OASIS PRINCE at the five eighths, retreated through the far turn, showed little in the stretch. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE trailed throughout, no factor.

HOT COCOA settled off the pace, cued four wide through the turn, contested with HARPY for the minor awards and got the bob for the place honors, no match for the winner. HARPY chased the pace from the inside, shifted out in the three path of the stretch, battled with HOT COCOA for the place honors and just missed out. BANBA opted to be the early trailer, picked off retreating foe through the turn, passed one more foe under a drive in the stretch. HOPE TOWN GIRL stalked the pace setter in the early stages, gave room through the turn until closing ground back in the upper stretch, came up empty in the final furlong. FLOWERBOMB tracked the pace, lacked response through the turn, trailed at the five sixteenths.

LAZIO advanced along the outside of the backstretch to stalk the pace three wide through the turn, entered the stretch in a competitive position, led briefly at the eighth but was out-finished late, remained on the left lead throughout the stretch. SMOKIN JACK FLASH quickly set a pressured pace from along the inside, entered the stretch in the two path and met bids from both sides, conceded the lead at the eighth and flattened out. TOOLPUSHER opted to be the early trailer, picked off foe at the quarter, closed willingly but couldn't gain position. WASAMATTAFOYOU tracked the pace between foes, pinched back entering the turn, failed to respond to the rider's encouragement and trailed at the quarter.

SUSPICIOUSLY NAMED had an awkward start, trailed for most, passed tiring foe. I'M NOT SURPRISED settled off the pace, lacked response.

TOASTTOTHESTONES shadowed the pace in the early stages, surrendered position entering the turn, passed retreating foe midway through the turn, lost crop at the eighth, switched leads at the sixteenth. COQUETA BLUE raced off the pace, never threatened. ALL I DO was off a step slow, raced off the pace, no impact. CHAPITA stalked the early pace from the two path, began retreating midway through the turn as no response was given to the rider's encouragement. DIVINE BLUE was no factor.

OBJECTION LODGED BY THE RIDER OF BRONZE BULLET ON TRELAWNY CLAIMING INTERFERENCE AROUND THE QUARTER WAS DISALLOWED BY THE STEWARDS.

STELLA BIONDA settled off the pace between rivals, took towards the outside of the stretch to make some minor improvements. ONLY YOU tracked the pace four wide, faded down the stretch. STEEL CITY LADY trailed for most, no factor. SWING ROUTE raced off the pace three wide, trailed at the quarter, made no impact.
