I LOVE INES was settled early and raced in the two path on the turn and swung out five wide leaving the turn and had a mild late kick to just miss the show award. FANTASY WORLD dueled for the lead and raced three wide on the turn but weakened in the drive. VANESSA'S WISH was settled early and raced two to three wide on the turn but had no significant rally. CHIZZY was off a step slow and trailed early, moved to the inside and was on the rail by the quarter pole but never factored.

FORD ROADSTER dueled for the lead two wide and made a bid in the lane and slowly got the best of the rival to the inside and then held off the late closing LIBERTY RINGS to prove best under a drive. STRIKE dueled for the lead on the inside and dug in determinedly in the late but was out-gamed late while holding on to the place award. LIBERTY RINGS tracked the pace two to three wide and came four wide into the lane and finished well. FRIDAYNIGHTCLUB was settled early and out-sprinted and moved to the inside on the turn and improved position. RAGING MENACE was off a step slow and bumped at the break, outrun early and failed to menace. WHAT A DEAL was off a step slow and bumped at the break, showed good early speed towards the inside, but drifted out while racing greenly and fell back on the turn then weakened.

COPERNIUM set a pressured pace on the inside and made a bid to shake clear and then drifted out in the furlong grounds and held on to prevail under a drive. MAGNETO tracked the pace three wide and then was two wide and moved to the rail on the far turn and cut the corner leaving the turn and closed well to miss. GUS SWAYZE pressed the pace three to two wide and kept on to the wire but missed. ANTONINO was reserved early and moved to the inside, came three wide into the lane and was bumped by the three sixteenths and then had a good late rally but was too late. NIGHT RAVEN was off a step slow, settled on the inside and fell back on the far turn, angled out leaving the turn and bumped ANTONINO leaving the three sixteenths and then had a belated rally. VIN NUMBER tracked the pace on the inside and tired.

ONE HUNDRED KINGS bumped with ENCHANTING TALE shortly after the break, then went up to press the pace two wide and made a bid leaving the turn to go on even terms for command by the furlong marker and then kicked clear in the final sixteenth while being ridden out, sharp. NO COMPROMISE set a pressured pace along the inside and was headed by the three sixteenths and dug in gamely but could not match strides the final sixteenth while clearly second best, good effort. BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL tracked the leaders and was three wide on the turn but proved to be no match for the top two wide clearly besting the rest. ENCHANTING TALE was bumped and squeezed back at the start and trailed early, saved ground on the turn and passed the tiring rivals. YAUCO P R bumped with a rival at the start and settled early while being four wide on the turn and failed to menace. NOBLE PRIDE bumped with a rival at the start and then was roughed up between rivals shortly after the break, then settled two wide entering the turn and moved out on the turn and came very wide into the lane while tiring and racing greenly. STEWARDS INQUIRY concerning the start, also JOCKEYS OBJECTION the number three against the winner the number two, after the STEWARDS reviewed the replays the OBJECTION was disallowed and no action was taken on the inquiry.
