LA DINAMITA was out-sprinted early on the inside, moved out on the turn and came four wide into the lane and passed the tiring rivals. AREACODEFIVEOONE was settled early and raced two to three wide on the turn and lacked a rally. AVE FENIX was off a step slow and failed to menace. BAL DE MAR chased the early pace on the outside and was four to three wide on the turn and weakened. TRIPLE THREAT was close up early on the rail and then tracked the winner on the inside entering the turn and faltered.

LAUDABLE was reserved early and moved off the inside down the backstretch and made a three to four wide move on the far turn and came five wide into the lane and closed well on the far outside and edged clear in the final eighty yards to prove best under a drive. MUNICIPAL pressed the pace and made a two wide bid by the quarter pole, then idled leaving the turn and then ran on again in the final furlong but was out-kicked. GRAN CAMPANERO set a pressured pace on the inside and was headed by the quarter pole and shook clear leaving the turn but was caught late while being out-finished in the final sixteenth. PARNASSUS tracked the pace three wide and came four wide into the lane but faded in the drive. KING PRINCE tracked the pace in between rivals and fell back by the five sixteenths and weakened. SOFOCLES was keen and rank into the first turn and then finally settled midway on the first turn and tracked the leaders from the inside and weakened in the lane.

SURFER'S JOY set a pressured pace on the inside and then turned back a bid by the quarter pole and shook clear by the three sixteenths but was headed again by the furlong marker and was passed by the sixteenth marker but came back again and got up to prove best under a drive in a gutsy score.
