BUCKIN' RIGHT made a swift advance on the leader near the three-eighths, took the lead at the five-sixteenths, moved just clear in upper stretch, drifted out a bit at that point, was kept busy and held. MAIDSTONE was forwardly-placed prominent along the inside up the backstretch, chased in behind on the turn coming out a bit for the drive, kept on well late but was only second best. AMADEA chased from outside going four wide into the turn, was carried out a few paths leaving that bend, kept on to get up for show. MARGARET P chased in behind saving ground on the turn, came off the fence in the stretch and ran on. ANY FOOLS GOLD chased from between foes three wide into the turn, shifted five wide turning for home, lacked the needed late kick from between runners. PAPERBACK EDITION brushed the gate just lightly, settled outside off the pace in the four to five path into the turn, swung eight wide into upper stretch, made no bid. A P M NOTION was urged from the break, soon made the lead and cleared shifting in to dictate terms, wilted. READY FOR MAGIC was taken up a bit early chasing inside, was never able to threaten.

PALACIOS broke inwardly, settled in behind the leaders along the inside, switched out on the turn, came past the quarter pole five wide, gained steadily to take the lead passing the furlong marker, drew clear. CASEOFTHEMONDAYS set the early tempo from outside then settled to press the inside foe, dueled with that one taking command at the seven-sixteenths, drew just clear near the quarter pole turning into upper stretch, was no match for the winner. OUR DAY WILL COME appeared to brush the gate and outside foe at the start, pursued from outside a foe in the second flight, advanced three to four wide on the turn, needed more. FEELS SO RIGHT brushed lightly with a rival at the start, pressed from inside, dueled into the turn, gave way. PAUL'S GUITAR dropped back outside foes early, was outrun and never a threat.

GOLDEN EIB MICRPHN was encouraged forward inside but off the fence, dueled then took a narrow lead, kicked clear turning for home, was kept to the task and held sway. ATLAS STRONG was bumped at the start, stalked from outside a foe in the second flight, took closer order late on the turn in behind the leaders still removed from the rail, kept on but was no match for the winner. MINT DRIVEN settled at the rear, came off the rail to pass a tiring rival racing off the fence on the turn, was along for show. SKIP THRU DA FIRE dueled outside the eventual winner, continued to press that one into the turn, drifted and was asked by the quarter pole, weakened thereafter. GINGER GIRL bumped a rival at the start, shifted in chasing from inside, retreated past the half.

MISTER ROSCOE exchanged incidental contact at the start, settled outside foes at the back, advanced four wide on the turn swinging out eight to ten deep for the drive, surged past late. SUGAR ON FIRE bumped a rival at the start, was prominent early racing inside then taken back, dropped back significantly and switched out on the turn, advanced outside foes coming into upper stretch about five wide and gaining, was carried in late, finished well. STICKTOTHESYSTEM was urged forward taking the lead by the nine-sixteenths and moving clear by the half setting the tempo from well off the inside, drifted about in the stretch, was outkicked. HOPPETOSSE was coaxed forward chasing three to four wide on the turn, floated out seven to nine deep in upper stretch, ran on to improve. RED SPITFIRE was encouraged forward chasing from off the rail, floated five to six wide turning for home in range, lacked the needed late kick. IN HONOR OF JEFF exchanged minor contact at the start, was between foes off the pace, took slightly closer order chasing from the two path on the turn, steadied when in tight at the sixteenth pole. RAGING CAJUN was just lightly brushed at the start, raced at the back inside foes early then off the rail into and on the turn, swung wider into upper stretch, was ultimately outrun and made no bid. PONT AVEN was lightly bumped at the start, faced mild early pressure dictating terms, was briefly headed past the three-eighths but promptly retook command, opened up leaving the turn while lugging out a bit in upper stretch, was much the best to win going away under steady handling. MARGIE'S LAST pressed the eventual winner, made a brief bid past the three-eighths, could not keep up with that one but kept on in the stretch to regain the place. RIO GRANDE bobbled just slightly at the start, stalked from outside going four wide on the turn and in range coming to the quarter pole, lacked the needed late kick. TWIN LAKES tracked in behind inside and not too far off the early lead, failed to rally. REALLY READY bumped a rival just lightly at the start, appeared a bit uncomfortable in behind runners in the early going, was not a factor.

AZTEC was hung five wide heading into the first turn then took back and shifted in to the two to three path settling off the pace, moved out five wide on the far turn beginning to advance, kept on gaining steadily in the stretch and got up late. FROSTY THE GIANT went to the lead to set the pace while kept wide racing in the three to four path, scooted away into the far turn to have a larger advantage while drifting a bit coming to the top of the stretch, was nailed late. AMAZING BERNIE was carried wide into the first then took back and shifted in, settled off the pace saving ground through the far turn, ran on evenly. ARROW SPEED was floated six wide into the first turn but able to move in a path on that bend, stalked off the leader about three to four deep, was outkicked for show honors. WORK HARD settled at the rear saving ground, brushed a foe lightly past the three-eighths, ran on inside in the stretch. PEEK was floated four wide into the first turn, chased from outside off the pace, was brushed just lightly past the three-eighths, angled seven wide at the top of the stretch, failed to threaten.

BADGE OF WAR prompted the pace from outside, took the lead at the five-eighths moving clear soon after, was kept busy under steady urging and held sway. JOE THE JET set the early pace inside, was taken hold ceding the lead and allowing the outside foe go forward, switched outside that one and advanced on the far turn making a mild re-bid, could not match strides with the winner but was a game second. GEORGIA MAGIC was lightly brushed at the start, settled off the pace outside in about the three path, advanced to get within range past the half, evened out thereafter. CHILENO was near but off the fence racing well back of the leaders, went evenly and made no bid. FORMAL AFFAIR broke inwardly brushing a rival, was outpaced early racing inside at the back, came out in upper stretch, was never near enough to threaten.

BAY STREET hopped at the start, pulled forward inside, was in tight and switched out past the nine-sixteenths, faced a mild wait in behind runners off the fence coming past the quarter pole, shifted in for room in upper stretch then came back out near the furlong marker making a bid, shared the win. BOOK OF WISDOM settled at the rear, was off the rail passing a rival through the turn, angled in at the top of the stretch, sought room in mid-stretch altering out then back in, kept on inside to share the victory. INFASTUATION was forwardly-positioned contending between runners, vied for the lead inside a foe but off the fence just in arears of that one, evened out in the stretch. KISSED AT DAWN was forced out a hair after the start, stalked from outside off and in behind the leaders, moved out from three to five wide on the turn, floated seven deep turning for home, needed more. SAPPHIRE BEAUTY came out at the start, moved forward to the lead past the half racing three to four wide, flattened out in the drive. FIVECOMMATWO broke inwardly, was urged to the early lead, dropped back after the half, faded.
