DR SKYSCRAPER vied four-wide early, made a run at COPPER STORM on the lead approaching the quarter pole, dueled outside of MOON FACTOR through the lane, and got the nod for the pace. MOON FACTOR dropped back after a level start, chased on the rail through the turn, then dueled through the stretch with DR SKYSCRAPER for the second spot, but came up short. OUR MOON PIE broke well, took the lead initially but was overtaken by COPPER STORM before going a furlong, started to weaken passing the quarter pole, and tired in the stretch. JAWDROPPER got off to an awkward start, steadily advanced through the turn, then was maiking mild gains in the stretch but was never a serious threat to the winner. CLARISIT broke sharp and cleared the field initially, was joined by NEWS TO SERIOUS at the half, dueled that one through the turn, gave way in the stretch but kept on well to save third. SHE'S SPELLBOUND pressed the pace three-wide to the half-mile pole, then was in chase mode through the turn and could not keep up through the stretch. CRAZY CAROLINE was never a factor.

HEAT UM UP broke on top, got some early pressure from a pair of rivals on the inside, went together with FOUR JIM through the turn, always traveling better than that one, responded positively when set down at the top of the stretch, and held clear late. HOOS FOOS tracked off the pace from mid-pack, advanced to be in range of the leaders approaching the quarter pole, then finished up well under left-handed urging up the rail, but could not threaten the winner. ANOTHER CROSSBOW veered out at the start, forcing the outer rival out as well, tracked the dueling leaders three-wide down the backstretch, was under heavy pressure on the turn, came out five-wide into the stretch, and ran on some to gain the third spot. HE MIGHT GO got floated out at the break, trailed well behind the rest early, then showed some late interest in the stretch and improved. CHIEF BROWN was sent up into the early pace mix, then came under a stiff drive past the half-mile pole, could not keep up with the dueling leaders, moved out to the three-path to set up a late bid, but flattened out. FOUR JIM hustled to the lead, dueled inside of HEAT UM UP through the early stages, then tired in the stretch.

ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN settled mid-pack for the first half, was without a clear path through the far turn, split horses in upper stretch, kicked on to take the lead in deep stretch, and held off a bid by a rival on the inside. SUPERSECRETWEAPON settled well off the pace in the early stages, was blocked in upper stretch, then rallied once clear but came up a bit short. DEVIL'S MISCHIEF gained the early lead on the first turn, then led the field through solid fractions, had a clear lead turning for home, was outkicked in the late stages but kept on well to hold third. PINEHURST (IRE) was wide throughout and finished with good late interest. DROBNY raced three to four wide off the pace with the main pack, and finished evenly. SUMMER HELP was close up under a tight hold through the first turn, tracked the pace three-wide down the backstretch, had every chance in the stretch but could not find the winning late kick. SINGING DIXIE unhurried early, settled near the back, then swung out seven-sied into the stretch, but lacked a finish. RIVETAGE got over to the inside before the turn, trailed the field to the stretch, and never threatened. ARIES HONOR got away well, tracked close up along the rail, steadied slightly turning into the stretch then took up in the final yards and lost any chance. BRILLIANT PLAN seized the early lead, held sway through the turn while always traveling well, responded when asked to go on at the top of the stretch, and kicked clear, then was taken in hand through the final yards. CURLIN'S UNION last down the backstretch, moved up through the turn, then found best stride late and rallied into second. SPECIAL AGENDA tracked off the pace along the rail, kept on well late, but was outfinished for the place. COMBAT CARL got bumped by the inside rival but got away well, was always close up two-wide, had some trouble changing leads in the stretch, and was unable to mount a late bid. CODY THE KID raced close up initially, steadily retreated in the run down the backstretch, came under a ride with three furlongs to run, then faltered in the stretch while racing on the wrong lead. COASTAL WARRIOR ducked in at the start, chased the early leader two-deep, came under a ride leaving the three-furlong pole and went one-packed through the stretch. ESSENTIAL STORM veered out at the start, bothing the rival in the next stall, was outpaced through the early stages and was never a threat. HIDALGO was unprepared for the start and spotted the field several lengths head start, moved up to mid-pack passing the half-mile pole, then folded midway through the turn and had nothing to offer in the stretch.

TOO MUCH KIKI was slow into stride and near the back through the early stages, advanced three-wide in the middle stages, dueled with NAVAL WOMAN through the stretch for the second spot, and gained the upper hand in deep stretch. NAVAL WOMAN tracked three-wide, launched a bid leaving the three-furlong pole, dueled with TOO MUCH KIKI into the stretch, then gave way to that one in the final yards but finished well clear of the next horse to save third. GLOBAL HOLIDAY dropped to last after an even beginning, was still last as the rest of the field turned into the stretch, then rallied to improve. BLUSHING BELLE tracked along the rail well off the early pace, lost some ground on the turn, but kept to task and finished evenly.
