NEW ISSUE unhurried early to be at the back of the short field, closed the gap on the turn with a steady advance, rallied four wide in upper stretch and took command in the last fifty yards pulling away at the line. BOUJIE BETZ stalked the loose pacesetter to the quarter pole, responded when called upon in upper stretch, tipped out nearing the eighth pole to collar the leader but was outkicked late in the lane by his stablemate. CELESTIAL SPEED sped to the lead under a strong hold opening a clear advantage and tired inside the eighth pole to quickly surrender to the closing pair.

RAMBLIN BETTS raced between rivals down the backstretch, was in tight quarters nearing the three-eighths pole, split rivals to move to a stalking positon on the turn and closed well through the lane to prevail. HIGHTAIL FOX reserved off the pace to midway on the turn and rallied in the stretch with a good late gain. LEO Q tracked the pacesetter from four wide, mounted a bid leaving the quarter pole and finished evenly unable to sustain the rally. SO GRAND broke well to assert himself shortly from the gate, opened a clear advantage down the backside, continued clear to midway in the lane and weakened in final eighth. JUDY CHOP flashed brief speed from the rail and was done early.

FISTFULOFMONEY tracked the leader from the fence through the turn, cut the corner turning for home and rallied along the inside down the lane to be up late. GOLDEN COOKIE urgered a bit early to take command, settled in hand to set the pace on a clear lead, responded when challenged, dug-in gamely through the lane but could not hold off the winner. MADFERIT prompted the pace from two wide to the top of the lane, rallied to take a short lead at the eighth pole and was outfinished when flattening out late. RYU MO tracked the leaders to the quarter pole and failed to offer a closing bid when called upon. GIDEON broke a bit awkwardly, dropped back to trail and went evenly never proving a threat.

BURNIN TURF tracked the loose pacemaker to the far turn, steadily narrowed the margin on the final bend to be in striking distance of the leader in mid-stretch and failed to sustain the bid while grinding through lane. BAHAMA CHANNEL went evenly failing to menace. BROADWAY SKY prompted the early pace and was through after a half mile.

MRS. MANICOTTI tracked the leaders to the turn, rallied four wide to threaten at the head of the stretch and flattened out. RIVERS RUN RED was not a threat. KHOZANALL chased the leaders to midway on the turn and faded to the rear.

NOBLE SOUL set a pressured pace into the turn and came up empty on the bend.

SIR MAXIMUS stalked the leader from afar on the backstretch, rallied to narrow tne gap on the final turn and finished evenly unable to gain in the lane. BARTULIA raced in tandem at the rear of the field the entire way with HARD MISSION never posing a threat. HARD MISSION trailed throughout as a non-factor.

NAUGHTY FAVORS prompted the pace for five-eighths, threatened from from four wide turning for home and could not get passed. THREE RUN BOLT raced mid-pack throughout and mounted a mild bid in the lane. INANNA'S QUEST failed to menace going evenly. UTOPIA ROSE was well positioned for a half and dropped back failing to threaten.
