READY ROSIE JANE tracked the pace on the outside in the three path, was urged along late on the backstretch, chased in the three path on the far turn, gained to make a bid coming to the quarter-pole, drifted out a bit while battling outside of the winner in upper stretch then was put to a left-handed crop, dueled head to head into the final sixteenth, had the rider throw several exaggerated crosses with her left-hand late, rubbed elbows with the rider of ESSENCE L VEE in the process and was denied. SPIRIT FORWARD came off the inside early, went clear in the two path on the first turn, was challenged by the winner inside the three-quarter pole, contested the pace on the outside, vied in the two path while asked on the far turn, dropped back at the five-sixteenths pole, remained on her inside lead until just inside the three-sixteenths pole then swapped to the proper lead when pulled in by the rider and tired.

LIGHT FANTASTIC established the front from the get go and showed the way crossing to the inside, settled in hand along the inside under some pressure from TWO DUCKS to the outside, took the inside route into upper stretch and was roused straightened away, drew off under a drive to prevail. TWO DUCKS coaxed from the gate, prompted the pace of the top one to the outside in the two path under encouragement from the five-sixteenths pole, spun three wide into upper stretch, got shaken off by the aforementioned foe and kept on to secure the place honors. ARMET chased just off the inside under a ride near the quarter pole, angled five to six wide into upper stretch and kept on to the finish. HONG KONG PHOOEY lunged at the break getting away last, chased just off the inside coming under urging near the quarter pole, angled four wide into upper stretch and passed tired rivals to the finish. INTO DIAMONDS a bit headstrong and pulling early on, was taken under a firm hold just off the inside five furlongs out and then got checked off the heels of NIGHT when that foe briefly floated to the two path with nine-sixteenths to go, angled out and was given rein to work with and settled just off the top pair, came under coaxing near the quarter pole, went five wide into upper stretch and weakened. OUT OF THE FOG broke in at the start carrying in NIGHT, chased along the inside patiently handled until let out angled four wide into upper stretch, offered no response. TAMINO coaxed from the gate, chased three wide under a ride from the five-sixteenths marker, angled six to seven wide into upper stretch and weakened. NIGHT got carried in at the start by OUT OF THE FOG, ranged up inside advancing to be just off the leader and floated briefly to the two path forcing INTO DIAMONDS to check off his heels with nine-sixteenths to run, came under coaxing at the three-eighths pole, spun just off the inside into upper stretch and tired.

MAX O NIDAS was bumped just after the start then squeezed back between horses, raced near the back under urging, raced inside to the two path on the turn, pursued the top two under a drive while along the rail in the stretch and lacked the needed kick while well clear for the show. MEDIEVAL broke very fast, moved out after losing the early lead then chased on the outside, went around the turn in the three to four path, dropped back in the five path into upper stretch and tired. LOAN RANGER was bumped in the hindquarters early then corrected outward, raced on the outside under urging, dropped back leaving the backstretch, went around the turn in the four to five path and had nothing left. MADDENBLEU leaned on ARMET in the early going, bumped extremely hard with that foe then also bumped with LOAN RANGER around the eleven-sixteenths pole, was urged along at the rear, dropped from the three path to the two path early on the turn, moved to the inside into upper stretch and was no factor.

CASH BURN chased three paths off the inside down the backstretch before tucking to the inside through the turn, spun two then three wide into upper stretch nudging EARLY AND OFTEN four wide, seized command with three-sixteenths to go and forged clear under a drive to the sixteenth marker, then got ridden out through to the finish. DRY DRASTIC got bumped at the start by EARLY RETURNS, who broke outwards, showed the way in hand just off the inside and then along the inside under pressure from EARLY AND OFTEN to the outside, took the inside route into upper stretch and was caught with three-sixteenths to run, proved no match for the top one while keeping on to secure the place honors. SECRET CONNECTION chased five paths off the inside down the backstretch and then just off the inside through the turn coming under urging with five-sixteenths to run, angled six wide into upper stretch and tired. EARLY AND OFTEN bobbled at the break, recovered to prompt the leader from the outside four paths off the rail down the backstretch and then just off the inside through the turn, came under a ride nearing the quarter pole, got nudged three to four wide into upper stretch by CASH BURN coming on through and then tired through to the finish. EARLY RETURNS broke out at the start bumping DRY DRASTIC, chased along the inside under urging from the seven-sixteenths pole, angled four wide into upper stretch and tired. CHIC IN MOTION got away to a hesitant start, chased along the inside down the backstretch and then two then three wide through the turn under encouragement from three furlongs out, angled five wide into upper stretch and trailed.

ESCAPADES showed speed and set the clear pace, controlled the action while in the two path for most of the turn then dropped to the rail, responded well when asked turning into upper stretch and drew off under steady urging to prove much the best. SUNSHINE BOBALOU was urged along off the pace, dropped back while taken up leaving the backstretch, dropped from the two path to the inside on the turn and failed to rally. NOD TO TRAN was urged along on the outside, traveled around the turn in the three path, came into the stretch in the four path and failed to respond. HIMOTHY settled towards the rear, was roused while moving from the inside to the four path on the turn, turned into the stretch in the five path and failed to threaten. YAHEARMENOW was fractious in the gate then backed out and deemed fit to run by the state veterinarian, dropped back after the start, lagged well behind the rest of the field, rounded the turn in the two path, came into the stretch in the three path and trailed.

VALTELLINA coaxed from the gate, chased two to three paths off the inside down the backstretch, tucked to the two path into the far turn and then tipped out four wide just inside the three-eighths, began to advance and came under coaxing near the quarter pole, tipped five wide into upper stretch, rallied to take command nearing the eighth pole and edged clear under a drive kept to task. BOXED WINE coaxed from the start, tracked the pace along the inside patiently handled until let out angled four wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive and ran on to the finish to secure the place honors. SWEETEST PRINCESS coaxed from the gate to the front, showed the way in hand along the inside patiently handled until roused taking the inside route into upper stretch, dug in under threat from a pair and was collared just outside the eighth pole, ran on through to the finish. GIANT AT WORK settled two to three wide at the tail of the field, came under urging near the quarter pole and angled out six wide into upper stretch, offered up a bid a furlong out, kept on to the end. PRINCESS BECCA broke out at the start, chased three wide advancing on the top pair through the far turn, came under a ride nearing the quarter pole and went five wide at the top of the stretch, then tired through to the finish getting eased home in the late stages. HELLO BEAUTY attended the leader from the outside, began to fade with five-sixteenths to go and was lightly coaxed spinning just off the inside into upper stretch, tired, and was eased home in the late going.

JAXER hit the inside of the gate at the start then bumped with SPIRIT OF NEW YORK then bobbled, was slow into stride and spotted the front a few lengths, raced in the two path on the first turn, settled at the rear, was roused in the three then four path on the far turn, came into the stretch in the six path and got up for the show while no match for the top two. WIT STORM was fractious in the gate, bumped with a foe at the start, went around the first turn in the three then four path, settled outside but with cover, moved closer near the nine-sixteenths pole, was asked in the two then three path on the far turn, spun into the stretch in the five path, remained on his inside lead until outside the furlong marker then swapped to the proper lead and missed the show. BIG FROSTY dropped back early, rounded the first turn in the two path, settled near the back, saved ground while roused on the far turn, moved out inside the furlong marker and failed to threaten. MISSIONATTHEGLEN bumped with a foe at the start, went to the front then sped clear, opened up while inside on the first turn, had the lead margin diminish midway down the backstretch, was asked while inside on the far turn, lost the advantage into upper stretch and gave way. SPIRIT OF NEW YORK became fractious in the gate after his neighbor to the inside did the same, raced in the two path on the first turn, was rated in second, moved closer to the leader midway down the backstretch then made a bid, vied in the two path on the far turn, was asked between horses outside the quarter-pole, dropped back while remaining on his inside lead in upper stretch, swapped to the proper lead inside the furlong marker and had nothing left.

FROM SCRATCH raced two to three wide in closest aim of the leader coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, swung four wide into upper stretch, rallied to knock heads through the final furlong and just got the nod on the wire. RIVER SEINE (IRE) coaxed from the gate, showed the way in hand along the inside coming under urging near the quarter pole, spun three wide into upper stretch, dug in under threat engaged in head to head combat through the final eighth and just lost the bob on the line. MIDNIGHTLOVEAFFAIR chased along the inside under a ride from the five-sixteenths pole, spun three then two wide into upper stretch, rallied to latch on the top pair inside the final sixteenth and was repelled to the finish. SHE'S GOT WILL chased along the inside coming under encouragement with five-sixteenths to go, angled three to four wide into upper stretch and offered up a mild bid. RIVER TAY (IRE) chased two to three wide under urging with five-sixteenths to go, went seven wide into upper stretch, offered up late foot. JUST ADD WATER broke out at the start bumping GRACIE'S DELIGHT into QUICK POWER NAP, chased two to three wide under a ride from three furlongs out, angled five wide into upper stretch and weakened. QUICK POWER NAP got bumped in the hind end and turned out by GRACIE'S DELIGHT due to pressure from JUST ADD WATER, chased just off the inside and then along the inside under encouragement from the five-sixteenths pole, angled five to six wide into upper stretch and made no impact. GRACIE'S DELIGHT got bumped at the start by JUST ADD WATER and in turn bumped QUICK POWER NAP in the hindquarters spinning her out, chased three then two wide coming under urging near the quarter pole, swung four to five wide into upper stretch and tired.
