NOW CATO was settled along the inside and advanced on the rail and tipped out three wide leaving the turn and made a bid to confront the leader at the furlong marker and kicked away to prove best under a drive. LOVE DA GIG was rated early and steadied leaving the three eighths marker, came two to three wide off the turn and had a late kick to gain the place award late. GIFTED VALOR dueled for the lead on the outside and made a bid to draw clear in the two path by the quarter pole but was headed by the winner by the furlong marker and proved to be no match for that rival and lost the place award late. HE GOT LIT broke in and dueled for the lead on the inside, fell back on the turn and came three to four wide off the turn and weakened. OM GROWN TOMATOES lost the rider and ran off briefly in the post parade, then settled early and lacked a rally. THREE P'S chased the pace three wide and then checked and took up when horse in distress back into the path, and then stopped while not being asked. THE TRANSITIONER tracked the early pace on the outside and then went bad and was pulled up on the turn, was vetted by the track vet and loaded on to the equine ambulance for further evaluation. STEWARDS INQUIRY but the race was left as is.

COMANCHE GAL rushed up the inside to set a pressured pace, shook clear nearing the quarter pole and drew out leaving the turn and then was ridden out to maintain a safe margin to the wire to prove best. SWISS DANCER was allowed to settle early, split rivals nearing the quarter pole and finished well on the left lead to be second best, pulled up off and after being vetted by the track vet was loaded on to the equine ambulance for further evaluation. WHY NOT MAYZEE pressed the early pace and fell off the pace on the turn and faded while saving the show award. BOSS GIRL prompted the pace three to four wide and faded while besting the rest. ARYA'S RIDE was reserved on the inside and angled out in the lane and improved. LIBERTY CAP was outrun early, saved ground on the turn and was not a factor. MAGIC AUTHORITY chased the pace four wide and weakened. GRANDE RIVIERE chased the pace on the inside and then came up empty.

TWIRLING DERBY set the pace on the inside and was headed by the quarter pole and dug in gamely in the lane to fight on and prevailed under a drive. JULLIAN IN PARIS was five wide into the first turn and stalked the winner four wide early and made a three wide bid to go on even terms leaving the quarter pole and then dueled for command in the lane but was out-gamed late to just miss. GORDY'S BOY prompted the pace three to two wide and fell back nearing the quarter pole but came again in the lane to best the rest. RULER OF ANGELS was allowed to settle early,made a four to five wide bid leaving the quarter pole but flattened out in the final furlong. HAPPY DOES was four wide into the first turn and had outside pursuit but had no significant rally. DIXON TUFF chased the pace along the inside but had no rally. WINSITWELL chased the pace three wide and was climbing by the half mile marker and angled out to the outside to run five wide on the far turn, came sevn wide into the lane but had no rally.

RUSSELLS HUSTLE was reserved early, angled out four wide leaving the turn and closed well to get up in time under a drive. SHUT UP MICHAEL (IRE) stalked the pace three wide and made a two to three wide bid leaving the quarter pole to gain a short lead by the furlong marker and then was clear but was nailed on the wire to just miss. SEAS OF NORMANDY was allowed to settle early and had outside pursuit and raced four wide on the far turn, came six wide into the lane and ran on. HURRICANE CLOUD (GB) was allowed to settle early, angled out in the lane and improved. THE BLACK STRAT set the early pace while clear on the inside and was headed by the quarter pole and came two wide off the turn and weakened in the final sixteenth. UNCHARTED chased the pace three wide and was in between rivals by the half mile marker and came five wide into the lane and faded. MONEYSHOT was well placed along the inside and sat the pocket on the far turn and cut the corner leaving the turn and tried to slip thru on the rail but did not have enough horse and weakened in the final sixteenth.
