BANKING HOLIDAY unhurried along the outside, left the backstretch three wide, was nudged into the four path before reaching the three-eighths pole, when BEDROCK made his move towards the front runners, swung the widest of a tightly-bunched quartet into the lane, gradually closed in, at first under intermittent stick work, then being flashed the whip right handed, continued onward and got up near the finish line. MARINA MARKET brushed with COPPER CASCADE shortly after the start, shrugged it off and made the front nonetheless, cut the pace from the inside, under a good hold, came under intense pressure from a host of rivals leaving midpoint on the far turn, was let out and asked for run in response to the challenge, turned for home, desperately clinging to a narrow advantage and with most of the field still bearing down hard, dug in stubbornly leaving the furlong grounds but got nipped right at the wire. RIPTIDE (ARG) broke alertly, but was taken hold of and eased back a bit to take up the role of stalker, kept track of the pacesetter from the two path under a firm hold down the backstretch, was given some rein narrowing in to issue a challenge approaching the five-sixteenths pole, battled hard between rivals until the end, but had to settle for the show. BEDROCK BLUES placed along the inside soon after the start, came off the rail about midway down the backstretch, squeezed his way between foes into the three path departing the backstretch, advanced to challenge MARINA MARKET coming to the five-sixteenths pole, and eventually got outkicked. COPPER CASCADE was the creator of his troubles at the start, coming in a bit and bumping with UNDOCUMENTED then bouncing off that rival and brushing with the runner up shortly afterwards, moved up into the pocket when BEDROCK BLUES abandoned the rail near the five-eighths pole, continued to patiently track the leader taking the inside route, got called upon nearing the quarter pole but lacked the necessary stretch response. UNDOCUMENTED bumped at the start, was never in the hunt.

VIOLA flew out of the starting gate and had the lead in a flash, swung over to the inside before reaching the half mile pole, gradually edged clear during the run around the bend, being coaxed along as she approached the quarter pole, was asked for more after turning for home, emerged from the furlong grounds with a comfortable advantage and held sway, being kept busy to the end. DEFLATE THE BUBBLE off the inside, advanced steadily into contention on the turn, was placed three wide at the five-sixteenths pole, gearing up for the stretch drive, made little progress initially after turning for home, drifting out several paths in response to left handed pressure, had the rider switch the stick to the right hand nearing the eighth pole, resumed a truer course after the deed was done and gained readily, but a bit too late to seriously threaten the top one. WESTSIDE SINGER chased the winner for a half and tired. A WALK ABOVE got off to an awkward beginning, saved ground until the quarter pole and failed to fire appreciably once called upon. PLEASANT PACIFIC displayed brief speed from the rail and faltered.

R HOLIDAY MOOD away in good order, made an easy lead, was placed in the two path under a good hold, cutting the early fractions, met a stern challenge from PORTSIDE soon after departing the backstretch, went head to head with that opponent from the seven-sixteenths pole to the end, came out a bit in the late stages, reacting to some left handed pressure from the rider, carrying out the runner up slightly as well, dug in gamely and proved best. PORTSIDE sat perched in the three path, just to the outside of the leader during the initial stages, ranged up to contest the pace nearing the seven-sixteenths pole, raced as a team with that foe, with never more a head separating the twosome at any point, got carried out a bit in deep stretch, continued onward with a valiant try but was denied. BUSTER'S READY was steadied after ducking inward at the start, fought against the bit being acting more kindly down the backstretch, was called upon from midway on the second turn, but failed to gain ground appreciably, swung about three wide into the lane, still under heavy pressure and still unable to make any significant headway on the embattled pair up ahead, then flashed belated foot to close the gap nearing the finish line. LE MI GEAUX took the inside route and tired.

SARATOGA TIGER found room to maneuver over to the inside coming to the half mile pole, tracked the leader under some coaxing to keep pace, wiggled her way into the two path just past the five-sixteenths pole, responded well when given her cue in upper stretch, angled outward toward clearance approaching the eighth pole, needed only a few more additional jumps to overhaul a weakening leader, then drew away under a hand drive. AURIC GIRL saved ground, angled off the rail in upper stretch and finished willingly to be along in time for the place. NO GOAL was pulled off a rival at the start, was unhurried for nearly a half while racing along the outside, angled into the lane from the three path and kicked in with good energy to take the show. VIVANT shot out of the gate to quickly grab the front, showed the way on an open, uncontested lead, was quickly overhauled by the top one leaving the furlong grounds and steadily tired thereafter. GREAT CLIFF broke in the air and smacked hard into the left side of the starting gate, sped past rivals under her own power down the backstretch to be closest pursuer by the half mile pole, attended the pace for another quarter of a mile and backed away. OCALA JORGE saved ground and was no menace. KARAKORUM JETE along the outside, was through after completing a half. HOOKIN THE GOODS off the inside, was outrun.

SHERAGUSKA was mildly hand urged from the starting gate to establish command, carved the pace from the rail, being lightly coaxed and facing no real resistance from the closest pursuer, continued along on the same scenario virtually throughout the opening six furlongs, was let out entering the stretch then drew off while being kept busy to the end. FEROCIOUS WON prompted the pacesetter almost from the get-go, proved no match in the lane but continued on well enough to procure the place. DANTASTIC threw his head upward at the start, chased the front runners from the outside and tired. THE ROUNDHOUSE saved ground until the quarter pole. LARRY'S FORTY TWO lagged in the back of the pack, being accompanied by THE ROUNDHOUSE, drifted six wide while weakening into the stretch.

RED TO POSITIVE sat within range under a firm hold off the inside, bided time during the opening half, gradually advanced during the run around the second bend, unasked until the quarter pole, split rivals turning for home, took off after the leader, collared that foe shortly after leaving the eighth pole, then edged away under confident handling. SISTER BERTA wedged between rivals during the early going, bumped lightly with THERE GOES MOLLY before extracting herself from that predicament, took up a forward position, perched just off the leader's hind quarters, keeping pace easily, with the rider applying double wraps, bid when ready leaving midpoint on the far turn, cruised by the hapless pacesetter, still well held. was let out a notch as the top one began to loom a serious threat heading into the stretch, gave up the lead readily before reaching the sixteenth pole, but continued on well enough to save the place. SUAVE ENDING swung three wide into the backstretch, came four wide into the homestretch and rallied willingly en route for the show. THERE GOES MOLLY bumped lightly with the runner up shortly before reaching the backstretch, sat well placed along the inside, was put to some urging nearing the half mile pole to maintain position, was then asked for more run in the vicinity of the three-eighths pole but came up empty. JOIN THE CROWD reluctant to load into the starting gate, broke well and took control before reaching the first turn, crawled on the front, offered no resistance when confronted by SISTER BERTA nearing the five-sixteenths pole, succumbing in haste and steadily tired thereafter. WESTERN THRILLER three wide around both turns, was through after completing three-quarters. SILVER MAST saved ground and was outrun. LEGIONS STAR was steadied at the start, in response to outside pressure initiated by WESTERN THRILLER and trailed throughout.

LADY GRACENOTE was pulled off QUEEN OF THE LAKE at the start, sat under a good hold in the rear of the pack, began to pick up the pace approaching the quarter pole, was forced to angle four wide into upper stretch, took off in earnest once straightened away, kicked in with good energy departing the eighth pole, collared GAMBLING GERALDINE in deep stretch and went by, not intimidated by that one's late antics. GAMBLING GERALDINE away well from the barrier, pulled constantly on the right side of the bit as she was ranging up to the pacesetter, battled for control with that one, on nearly even terms nearing the quarter pole, emerged from the furlong grounds the clear leader, felt the top one's presence in the vicinity of the sixteenth pole, swerved out sharply after being struck left handed a few times, relinquished the advantage with about seventy yards remaining and had to settle for the place. SHE'S GOT RULES within striking distance along the outside, displayed a mild kick en route for the show. QUEEN OF THE LAKE fell to her face at the start, was lightly urged, appearing full of run, into midpack, requiring the rider to tap the brakes once in position, kept pace with the front runners under some coaxing taking the inside route around the turn, angled outward in upper stretch, continued on willingly before flattening out a bit during the last sixteenth. FRAZZIE took quick control, cut the pace from the inside, was put to the test by the runner up late on the turn, gave in to the pressure and steadily tired thereafter. SUGAR TRADE left the backstretch from the three path, was pushed by another rival five wide into the stretch, but came up empty once called upon.

EMINENT TALE broke running to take the early lead, set the pace, from the inside, under a good hold, and facing only the mildest of pressure from the closest pursuer, continued along on the same scenario for nearly three-quarters, was let out after a pair of rivals attempted to close the gap, spurted away to a commanding advantage after completing the run through the furlong grounds and easily maintained it, driving. UNCLE SMOKEY raced three wide around the second turn, ranged up leaving the three-eighths pole, swung into the stretch under encouragement but got outkicked. SURFACTANT strung out three wide around the opening bend, settled into the two path upon reaching the backstretch, patiently stalked the pacesetter until the half mile pole, was set down approaching the five-sixteenths pole and tired. TAP ATTACK faded off a ground-saving journey. LIVING RIGHT raced along the outside, was urged on the second turn but failed to gain any ground.

MARIE'S BABE was coaxed along giving chase on the leader while racing along the outside, was put to left handed encouragement after turning for home, got carried out a path or two by an errant LITTLE HALO in the vicinity of the eighth pole, being forced to take both LADY ALMA and GOLDEN LEADER along for a brief lead, forged ahead, collared the leader a short distance from the sixteenth pole, and held on to a narrow edge thereafter under a drive to prevail. PLAYGIRLS RHAPSODY forwardly placed along the inside down the backstretch, lost ground during the run around the bend, altered course well out to the middle of the strip at the three-sixteenths pole, then came home with good belated energy to garner place honors. LADY ALMA was grabbed hold and put back on course after breaking outward slightly at the start, underwent a three wide pursuit, was in the middle of her rally when herded out about a path or so from pressure being initiated by LITTLE HALO at the furlong marker, continued onward having lost little or no momentum as a result and finished willingly to be along to take the show. LITTLE HALO sprinted clear of the competition after the start, cut the pace while racing along the inside, came out several paths after being put to left handed pressure near the eighth pole, affecting a trio of foes somewhat in the process, remained a prominent factor before weakening during the last sixteenth. GOLDEN LADDER chased the pacesetter from the outside, was asked for run approaching the five-sixteenths pole, appeared to still have a fighting chance when taken in hand while in a bit tight between rivals near the eighth pole, found her best stride once more a sixteenth down the road and flashed some late interest. PERSKY'S HEART three wide at the three-eighths pole, failed to menace. OLYMPIC TOUCH saved ground until the five-sixteenths pole and was outrun.
