MAGNOLIA LANE was bumped at the start and settled back early, shifted into the four path in the far turn, made a bid in the stretch but was evenly late in the drive. CAT'S CLAW was unhurried early, angled into the four path in the far turn with a belated gain late in the stretch run. CIVILITY PLEDGE was bothered early and steadied into the first turn, chased the pace while three wide, steadied and bothered again in the upper stretch and weakened late in the drive. STYLISH D'ORO trailed the field early, fanned into the five path in the far turn and moved up in the stretch drive. SHE BE KEENE pressed the pace early while between horses, was off the rail into the far turn and faded late in the stretch. WINNING SCOOP was bumped and squeezed back at the start. ADVENTURE AT SEA was bothered and bumped early. AMBITIOUS was bumped early while on an inside trip. PRINCESS MARIAH was eased in the stretch and walked off.

BELLARMINE set the pace early, angled off the rail into the far turn, drew off late in the stretch under a brisk drive. ONLY IN AMERICA settled early under a snug hold, tracked the early pace, shifted into the three path entering the lane for the drive but was no match for the winner in the final stages. ZANE trailed the field early, was in the three path in the far turn, angled outside for the stretch drive and moved up in the late stages. HOLIDAY STAR chased the pace early, fanned into the five path in the far turn and weakened late in the stretch run. ANY GIVEN ROYAL was unprepared at the start, stalked the early pace, shifted into the four path in the far turn and was empty late in the stretch drive. SOUTHERN PARKWAY was back early, was in the four path in the far turn while making a bid but tired in the stretch drive.

EXPECTING CASH stalked the pace early, shifted into the four path in the turn, took over command and drew clear late under a steady drive. THUNDER AFFAIR was unhurried early, angled into the three path entering the lane, rallied in the stretch but did not have enough in the final stages. JUMP FOR KITTEN chased the pace early, fanned into the five path in the turn and flattened out late in the stretch run. MR. JEEVES trailed the field early, shifted into the three path in the turn with a belated gain in the stretch drive. STRONG RESOLVE ran evenly throughout. SHUN swung into the six path in the turn while no threat. BRAT was pulled to the lead early to set the pace and was empty late in the stretch. BAILOUTBOBBY showed little. STEPHEN A was done early. GRAN CHAT was never involved.

FRAC DADDY prompted the pace to the outside of RED RIFLE, forged command with three furlongs to run, shook clear entering the stretch and held sway with something left. STEALCASE attended the pace along the inside, shifted out entering the stretch, finished willingly but failed to menace the winner. NIKKI'S SANDCASTLE was unhurried off of the inside, waited in traffic briefly leaving the second turn, came five wide into the lane, split rivals and was making up ground. NEWSDAD was slow into stride, toiled well back, swung eight wide entering the stretch and was late on the scene. FARHAAN was close up five wide, but flattened between horses in the drive and gave way. JOHA was forwardly placed between horses, angled out entering the stretch but lacked a response when called upon. WINNING CAUSE settled in hand between foes, came six wide but failed to make headway through the lane. NORUMBEGA contended between horses, tucked in on the second turn, but came up empty after six furlongs and retreated. RED RIFLE was away in good order, set the pace along the inside, was headed with three furlongs to run and gave way readily. HATTAASH lunged at the start, was allowed to settle five wide and was never a factor.

CASSIE'S HARBOR tracked the pace three wide, forged command entering the stretch, dug in to meet the bid of ATHENIAN BEAUTY and held stubbornly. ATHENIAN BEAUTY lobbed along four wide within striking distance, launched a bold bid entering the stretch, drew even with a furlong to run but was unable to best the determined winner. TOHAVEANDTOHOLD broke in the air to get away behind her field, was unhurried into stride, circled seven wide and was along for the show. JESTER AND ME was fractious in the gate, broke slow, lagged well back, swung to the far outside and finished with a late gain. A GIANT LURE settled off of the inside, moved up between horses through the second turn, came five wide into the lane, but flattened during the drive and gave way. WONDERFUL MISS BEA contended between horses, came three wide but weakened during the drive and faded. EQUAL PARTS was close up between horses, gained a brief lead with five-sixteenths to run, but faltered leaving the second turn and faded. TRUE KINECTION attended the pace along the inside, shifted out four wide entering the stretch but came up empty during the drive. AMERICAN BEAUTY was allowed to settle, came five wide but lacked a response when called upon. PULPILETTA opened clear to set the pace, was collared after a half, stayed on for six furlongs and dropped out. JOANIE'S KITTEN was through after a half.
