Turfway Park in Florence, Kentucky, near Cincinnati, opened in 1959 as Latonia, named for the original Latonia track that raced in nearby Covington from 1883 to 1939. It carries Kentucky racing through the winter, with a holiday meet in December and a winter meet from January into March.

Turfway races entirely on a synthetic main track. It was the first track in North America to install Polytrack, in 2005, and now races on Tapeta. Its biggest race is the Jeff Ruby Steaks in March, which awards points toward the Kentucky Derby.
